Some clarification on PMs... November 13, 2011

I got some e-mails from members stating that they can't PM. So I went into the ACP and discovered that new members can't post PMs. I believe this is how it's supposed to be.

If you have made less than 20 posts you can't PM people. This is a spam prevention method. If you want to stick around and use PMs 20 posts is easy to get.

Please post here or e-mail a staff member (including me) if you have any questions.

Welcome Our New Moderator October 27, 2011

Please welcome our new Moderator, holly!

She has been a member of ACP since 1-22-2009, and has shown continued devotion to the site. She was also one of the first 20 members to join on the original forum a couple months after we opened ACP.

We took notice of her dedication to the site and we offered her the position because of that.

We know she will make a great addition to the staff team and we look forward to working with her. Please congratulate her on becoming a moderator!

I am moving on from ACP. October 10, 2011

This was a hard decision, but due to a lack of interest in AC I have stopped visiting ACP as often as I should, so I am officially leaving ACP.

I originally started Animal Crossing Kids in 2004, it didn't ever become successful, even after numerous reboots. Eventually I decided it would be best to merge with another forum and I chose the original ACP. And therefore, we have the new ACP.

1 and 1/2 years later, I'm leaving ACP because of the aforementioned reasons. If you want to contact me, you can e-mail me, PM me (I'll get an e-mail notification, don't worry) or message me on AIM (hooky375). I can still hop on here most of the time.

I apologize for this inconvenience. Sad (Male)

3DS Price slashed by $80 / Pre-order Animal Crossing 3DS! July 30, 2011

You might have seen it on the news or somewhere else on the internet. What's so exciting? Nintendo slashed the price of the 3DS game system from $250 to $170, a cut of $80! This is great news, with the release of some much awaited games coming near the end of this year. According to Nintendo "...the upcoming game calendar is a Who's Who of iconic video game franchises. Star Fox 64™ 3D arrives on Sept. 9, followed by Super Mario™ 3D Land in November, Mario Kart™ 7 in December and Kid Icarus™: Uprising during the holiday season."

Some other interesting things to note:
#1 - Animal Crossing for the 3DS, was not in that short list of games to be released. That doesn't mean it won't be released before the year ends. In fact, we found it available to pre-order on Amazon.com and Gamestop.com, although no release date is listed.
Pre-Order Animal Crossing 3DS ($39.99)!

#2 - Many people have already bought a 3DS at full price. The price drop is not fair to them! Well Nintendo realizes this, and has promised to give 20 virtual console games FREE to everyone who already purchased the 3DS before the price drop.

For those of you that haven't bought a Nintendo 3DS yet, you can pre-order your lower priced system using the links below. You can also pre-order the new Animal Crossing 3DS game!

Nintendo 3DS - Aqua Blue ($169.99)
Nintendo 3DS - Cosmo Black ($169.99)
Pre-Order Animal Crossing 3DS ($39.99)

All prices are US prices. If you buy any of these items using the links above, Amazon.com will pay us a small percentage of the sale which we will put towards costs for this website.

Nintendo has both instruction manuals for Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk available to download in PDF format, absolutely free. We also found the Game Cube version from another source.

So if you lost or damaged your game manual, and still want to reference it - the download links are below. Enjoy!

Animal Crossing: Population Growing (Game Cube) [PDF]

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS) [PDF]

Animal Crossing: City Folk / Let's Go to the City (Wii) [PDF]
